A true vagrant over the years in the field of art, Kevin King has won numerous and varied awards and recognitions in addition to a scholarship to F.S.U. in Tallahassee Florida for his cartooning and Fine Art. Kevin King attended the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and graduated in 1984 with a degree in advertising design and was released to roam at his muse's whims.
Kevin has made his camp over the years cartooning and illustrating for several of the Scripps-Howard chain of news papers as a humor cartoonist and staff illustrator. He has worked with large advertising agencies on various ad campaigns doing cartooning and illustrations across the country. Kevin has done Gallery painting, book illustrations, has had artwork in numerous magazines and humor magazines.
Currently Kevin wears a size 36 pleated Dockers, spends his time finally doing the kind of artwork he loves, FANTASY, WITCHES, FAERIES and all the things that go bump in the night and excite the young in mind, spirit and heart. He is also working on a few children's book ideas with his wife/side-kick while the both are assisted by their ever present pet parrot who feels the need to perch on the drawing table stealing pencils and paintbrushes!
